MUSAM

The Centenary of the Italian Air Force is coming to an end, after a year of celebrations that have honoured the traditions, values and memory of all those who contributed to its glorious history. To celebrate this important milestone, the 'Musam' project was born, conducted in collaboration with one of the world's most important flight museums, the Museo Storico dell'Aeronautica Militare (MUSAM) located in the historic site of the old Vigna di Valle (Rome) seaplane port.

Five special edition t-shirts, each representing an aircraft that has marked the history of military flight in Italy. To enclose them, an exclusive box that includes a certificate of authenticity, a collector's print and an informative dossier on the history of the aircraft with graphics and historical photos.

Among the celebrated aircraft is the CANT Z.506S designed by Engineer Filippo Zappata and named Airone. A seaplane that played a crucial role during the Second World War by operating in reconnaissance and maritime transport tasks.

The C.202 'Folgore', an icon of the Second World War used for combat operations, ground attack and reconnaissance missions. Only two examples of this aircraft have survived and one is preserved at the Museo Storico dell'Aeronautica Militare.

The F-104 G Starfighter aircraft, a single-seat multi-role aircraft whose innovative technology has made it a benchmark in fighter and air defence. Developed in the 1950s by Clarence 'Kelly' Johnson, it is famous for its extraordinary speed and agility.

The historic MC.72 is famous for being the world speed record holder for seaplanes, set in 1934 by Francesco Agello, with a speed of over 709 km/h. The only survivor of the five built is preserved at the Museo Storico dell'Aeronautica Militare.

Finally, the Ansaldo SVA 5, an exceptional reconnaissance aircraft that made a fundamental contribution to Italian aeronautical history: it was used for great feats, the most famous of which was in 1918 when seven aircraft flew over the Austrian capital distributing thousands of propaganda leaflets, led by the famous Italian poet Gabriele D'Annunzio.
